UPCOMING REEL TALK: PRISCILLA GALVEZ
Already giddy thinking about this conversation.
This Saturday, I’m sitting down with powerhouse producer and director, Priscilla Galvez, to unpack her directorial debut, A FERMENTING WOMAN, a piercingly raw and poignant portrayal of the silent female rage. We’ll deep dive into her creative process with core collaborators, her sensibilities in the world and so much more.
Watching this film, I see how silent female rage—perhaps more dangerous than its louder counterpart—is the one I resonate with most: a soundless attrition. Using the act of fermenting ingredients as a metaphor for simmering anger, resentment, and desperation beneath a composed facade, Priscilla’s vision for this film is truly out of this world.
Been hard gatekeeping the conversation since Christmas :(
Before this directorial debut, Priscilla worked as a producer on many incredible projects, most notably the Oscar-nominated short Motherland by Jasmin Mozaffari, Measures for a Funeral by Sofia Bohdanowicz, and Inay by Thea Loo.
As she continues to share her artistry with the world, both as a producer and director, I can’t wait to see what lies ahead for her. It’s a true honour to have the chance to bring her stories to The Produced - stay tuned!
Stay in the loop.
That’s it for today.
Thank you so much for the continued love and support of The Produced. They’ve kept this platform thriving, and there’s so much more to come in 2025—including glimpses behind the scenes and into the creative process. Stay so, so tuned.
Stay hydrated, share the love, and I’ll see you this Saturday.
