REEL TALK: PARKER SCHMIDT

Director on crafting narratives for Dodge, Lexus, Cadillac and carving spaces in the narrative world with award-winning 'Bowl of Life.'

Welcome to Reel Talk, where we deep-dive into the minds of the industry’s finest creatives, from art, music, cinema, and all forms of humanizing art. Each conversation gives a glimpse into their craft, passion, and the stories that drive them.

This week, I’m honoured to be welcoming Parker Schmidt, an L.A.-based director whose works are infused with eclectic yet intimate narratives that redefine the art of storytelling. Each piece unravels the deepest desires of the human experience: to be held, loved, and pushed to the highest peaks.

Parker Schmidt.

Rooted in the high-adrenaline world of downhill skateboarding, Parker’s filmmaking journey elevates the everyday across automotive, fashion, and sports. His work includes collaborations with Dodge, Cadillac, Lexus, CHIMI, Nike, Kia, and more. With a path that spans global skateboarding competitions and art and design studies in Berlin, Parker now continues his cinematic journey in Los Angeles. Beyond film, his passions for surf, cycling, baking, and pottery infuse each project with rich nuance, pushing boundaries brick by brick.
